clash of clansSupercell’s 2012 city-building strategy game, has resorted to selling the microtransaction equivalent of foot shots. The in-game decorations, which function as ceramic planters, represent the barbarian character’s feet. They cost $2 each. No one seems to know quite why Supercell does this.
“The Foot Tribute Bundle is now live. Delivered in perfect detail, bare and unapologetic,” reads the game’s new viral tweet. “A decadent indulgence for the truly refined. Judgment fades, elegance endures.” What might seem like just a social media trick has arrived weeks after April Fools’ Day, along with an actual update to the game’s store. Buy six feet of stone and Supercell will even throw in an extra one for free.
Save this one too. Hopefully, no one else ever has to see it again. pic.twitter.com/MKTlWpzLH4

You might think this is playing with some long-running foot fetish meme out in the open clash of clans community, but rather a reading of the community subreddit road TheGamer offers little information beyond a single post from seven months ago ranking all Archer Queens feet. “Can someone tell me what this TRIBUTE FOOT BUNDLE should do?” wrote one player in a thread this week. The packages briefly left the store at one point before returning today.
“I bought 4 of the packs luckily before they were taken away. Now my base is loaded with them.” he wrote CloudStrife012.
Some players call it a desperate attempt at baiting. Others ask for skins of summer swimwear at the Marvel Rivals. Others just want to see the sales statistics to know who really paid for the feet. Kudos to Supercell for pushing the horse armor concept to new heights.
