In hindsight, I think it was only a matter of time before Anthropic put Claude in a position to do this Generate charts and graphs The company will then start offering a more powerful image editor. Now, more than a month after that release, Anthropic has announced Claude Design, a new research preview that allows subscribers to use Claude to generate designs, prototypes, slides, and more.
“Claude Design gives designers a wide range of space to explore and gives others a way to produce visual work,” Anthropic said of its latest product. As with its previous forays into image generation, the company isn’t calling it an image generator. Anthropic also established an onboarding process that allowed Claude to build an internal visual language after reading the organization’s code base and existing design documents. “Every project thereafter will automatically use your colors, typography, and annotations,” the company says. In addition to text prompts, image and file uploads are supported, and Anthropic even includes a web scraper tool so enterprise customers can capture elements from their company websites. There is also built-in sharing functionality, so you can export your designs directly to Claude Code. In the coming weeks, Anthropic promises to make integration with its new app even easier.
Claude Design arrived the same week as Adobe and Adobe canvas Released its own visual artificial intelligence assistant. If Anthropic is going to eat Canva’s lunch, it does so in a weird way, because you can export Claude Design projects to Canva. If you’d like to try the new app for yourself, it’s available as part of Anthropic’s Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscriptions, and usage will be up to your usage limit.
