‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ wins season 18

Long live Mikey Meeks!

The Queen has”RuPaul’s Drag RaceMeeks took the crown as America’s Next Drag Superstar from Darlene Mitchell and Ninny Coco.

Meeks took the crown from his fellow queen and said, “This is for my friends, my family, all of Orlando, live bravely, love boldly, put it in the book, baby, Meeks will inherit the crown!”

In this episode, judge Michelle Visage welcomes the Season 18 queen back to the main stage. DD Fuego, Mandy Mango, Briar Blush, Ciara Myst, Vita VonTesse Star, Mia Starr, Athena Dion, Kenya Pleaser, Discord Addams, Jane Dont, and Juicy Love Dion all make their final appearance as this season’s eliminated queens.

Finalists Darlene Mitchell, Myki Meeks and Nini Coco were invited back for the final Ru-stravaganza. Mitchell finished second.

Jane Dont was crowned Miss Fun this season. When asked what she had to say, Donte responded, “Amiability is not something that women in our family universally aspire to, but one of the greatest gifts this whole experience has given me is the relationships I have with these girls.” She continued, “You are the best prize.”

Host RuPaul also performed her 2022 song “Mother of the House” for the audience and reminded everyone who’s in charge.

Meeks finished last in the Queen Rating Challenge, but bounced back and went on to win the Political Ad Challenge, Makeup Challenge, Improv Challenge and finally the Hosting Challenge. Meeks won three of the four challenges, earning the title of Comeback Queen and entering the Drag Race history books.

Meeks did a great impersonation of Drew Barrymore during this season’s Snatch Game Challenge. After that episode, Barrymore invited Meeks to appear on her show. She dressed up as Barrymore in true Meeks style. “Very accurate,” Barrymore told Meeks.

Meeks is now “America’s Next Drag Superstar” and has been inducted into the Drag Queen Hall of Fame along with past honorees. She also received a $200,000 cash prize.

Miley Cyrus wins lifetime award. “It makes the Grammys look cheap,” Cyrus joked while accepting her award.
