The BAFTA Games Awards 2026 saw big wins for Dispatch, Ghost of Yōtei, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. But there were a few surprises in there, too – in true BAFTA style. Ghost of Yōtei winning best music against Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, for example, turned out to be something of a surprise. Daredevil star Charlie Cox didn’t get a chance to raise the Fench motion capture performer behind Clair Obscur’s Gustave (something he almost certainly did when he won best performer in a supporting role). That went to Jeffrey Wright, who played Chase on Dispatch. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 lost to Kingdom Come: Deliverance II in the best narrative category, and to Microsoft’s South of Midnight in the New Intellectual Property category, too.
Sandfall Interactive isn’t that low, however; the French studio won the best Debut Game, and Jennifer English, fresh from her big The Game Awards 2025 victory, continued her run by taking home the best Performer in a Leading Role award for her performance as Maelle in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. And, of course, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 won the biggest award of the night: Best Game. I’m not sure there is another winner.
Elsewhere, Rebellion’s Atomfall won British Game, Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky won Evolving Game, and Embark’s Arc Raiders won Multiplayer.
