Final Fantasy 7 fans, mark your calendars for May 19th


First released in 1997 as the seventh major installment in Square Enix Final Fantasy franchise, Final Fantasy VII was the gateway that catapulted the otherwise underrated series into mainstream media, so perhaps it was no surprise that it was the first in a trilogy of remakes in 2020. Final Fantasy VII Remake, followed Final Fantasy VII Rebirth 2024. With the third and final entry expected sometime in 2027, the hype is still alive and strong, but the recent announcement may cause disappointment for some fans.

May 19th is a big day for Final Fantasy 7 fans

Unfortunately, due to the collaboration between Square Enix and Powerwash Simulator developer Futurlab is coming to an end, Final Fantasy VII Remake DLC for the beloved simulation game is coming to an end. Arriving in March 2023 Midgar special package was a free download for powerwash simulator, with a mini-campaign with five locations and vehicles from Final Fantasy VII Remake. However, as of May 19, Midgar special package will no longer be available for powerwash simulator, with the developers revealing that it will be removed after this date.

Luckily, if you already own the game, you’ll be able to download and play the DLC at any time, but after May 19th, it won’t be available in any online stores. As such, if you previously missed it Midgar Special Package, you only have a few weeks to download and play it. In addition, the Tomb Raider DLC for Powerwash Simulator has also been removed, and players can no longer explore and clear Croft Manor from May 19 onwards.

As mentioned, the final installment in Final Fantasy VII Remake The trilogy is expected to launch in 2027, although it has an exact date not yet confirmed. However, with both Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth being instant hits, no doubt the final entry will follow suit. That being said, with the recent a new take on cloud diving enthusiastsit remains to be seen whether Final Fantasy VII will experience its original 90s magic. In the meantime, fans can get their powerwashers ready and head to some iconic Final Fantasy locations in the powerwash simulator, but they better hurry before this free DLC is gone forever.
