However, no one could prepare the audience in any way Will Trent season 4episode 15, “The Blank Expanse Of Nothing” has ended. While Ormewood and Faith dealt with the show’s case of the week, Wilbur followed Adelaide after their contact last week. Unfortunately, this endeavor put her life in danger, as the hour ended with Wilbur finding her stabbed multiple times.

Instead of confirming Amanda’s fate, the way “The Empty Space of Nothing” ended left a glimmer of hope that the GBI leader would survive the attack. After all, she had previously been subjected to a near-death experience in Will Trent season 3 finale it left people extremely worried, only for her to emerge from the ordeal virtually unscathed. ABC, however, does not prolong the public’s agony over this challenge, as the network effectively confirms that Amanda is indeed dead after being stabbed multiple times. Unfortunately, this time he won’t be as lucky as before.

Wagner in high potential

ABC has officially spoiled Wagner’s great destiny in season 3 after the fatal cliffhanger

The season 2 finale of High Potential left Nick Wagner’s life hanging in the balance, but ABC isn’t waiting until next fall to confirm Steve Howey’s fate.

Not long after Will Trent season 4 episode 14 is over, it’s officially announced Sonja Sohn is officially leaving series, which means her character is definitely dead. This is the first time in the history of the series that it says goodbye to a main character – let alone an original one. There have been hints of Angie Will Trent’s departure before, but it’s hard to imagine ABC writing another series regular after Amanda’s death.

It’s an understatement to say that saying goodbye to Amanda will be difficult. She has been the undisputed leader of the GBI since Will Trent’s premiership, so her loss will have a profound effect on the agency’s future. Primarily, this makes way for Will Trent to introduce the new leader of the organization, which will shake things up for the proceedings. Showrunners Liz Heldens, Daniel T. Thomsen, and Karine Rosenthal have already commented on the issue, essentially saying that this tragedy will be the starting point for more narratives moving forward, especially regarding Wilbur’s personal arc.

Besides being his boss, Amanda also served as his quasi-mother Will Trentprotecting him from evil, supporting him in his endeavors, but also calling him when he goes into a spiral. There’s no doubt that Wilbur and the rest of the team will stop at nothing to bring justice for Amanda’s death, which means this narrative involving Adelaide just got significantly more intense. After the current year, this tragedy will likely continue to shape Wilbur’s arc when the ABC procedural returns for the next TV cycle.
