A few months ago, Nintendo announced that it would take screenshots from Tomodachi Life: Living the dream very difficult to share. That doesn’t seem to have stopped players using alternative solutions or just taking pictures of their switches, so that just a day after the game’s release, social media is flooded with so many screenshots that going on Twitter and seeing what players have been up to is almost as entertaining as playing the game itself.
As someone who has spent an absurd number of hours both playing the game and seeing what other people have done with it online, I have found many gems. These are some of the funnest interactions between player Miis (and sometimes their odd custom items) that I’ve come across.
Tomodachi Life: Living the dream It literally has no filter, it rocks. Now we can get videos of Mii Walter White (who studies “the meth rulebook every night before bed”) and Jesse Pinkman bonding over their shared love of meth.

Players have put a lot of work into creating custom items for their Miis (and many of them have been cigarette-related). Interestingly, these items that players take the effort to create are apparently treated as more important to the characters they’re associated with than pre-existing items in the game, meaning they’re more likely to appear in dreams, news, and other scenes like this.

I’ve loved seeing fans post their Miis’ weird relationships, but none have been as good as this one-sided love affair with a beautifully drawn Godzilla. Neon Genesis Evangelion’s Eva Unit 01.

Here’s Hank Hill falling in love with creepypasta icon Jeff the Killer.
Players have also been excited to give their Miis strange pets, which, more often than not, aren’t actually animals. I love Kris DeltaruneThe haunting (and strangely accurate) reaction to receiving a soul here.

Miis have been bugging me for putting island decorations in the worst places ever, and apparently I’m not alone. Mine have been pestering me to fill the beach on the island with lanterns, while this person’s Miis apparently went for the vending machine. What a beautiful place for two vending machines, I guess!
I’m a big fan of the fact that the game allows players to fully customize Miis, leading to previously impossible Miis like Zigzagoon and a Dragon Quest Slime (at home in his natural habitat) sharing his love for random encounters. (You have to log in to Bluesky see how this interaction plays out, but it’s worth it.)

Sometimes nothing is more entertaining than watching it As Lawyer himself, Phoenix Wright, pulls off some sick moves as rival Miles Edgeworth practices pirouettes behind him.

I also had a blast sitting back and watching the Miis interact with the objects placed around the island. This player’s Final Fantasy VII Apparently, Cloud and Sephiroth Miis have some unfinished business that only a sweaty exchange of rockers can resolve.
