ESA-epsilon

ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot was launched to the International Space Station on February 13, 2026, on a mission called εpsilon.

The mission title captures the essence of a small but impactful contribution. In mathematics, ε represents a small quantity, like the role astronauts play in the vastness of spaceflight. In astronomy, it represents the fifth brightest star in the constellation.

Sophie will launch with her Crew-12 crew members aboard the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft from Florida, USA. The four astronauts include NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrei Fedyaev.
