Clair Obscur makes history, wins GOTY in the 5 major awards

Chiaroscuro: Expedition 33 it was already one of last year’s most awarded games, racking up wins at the Game Awards and numerous websites. Now, after winning the BAFTA Award for Best Game of 2025, the French RPG blockbuster has done something that only one other game has done before: win all five of the top Game of the Year awards.

On April 17the 2026 BAFTA Game Awards were held and, unsurprisingly, last year’s big RPG Chiaroscuro: Expedition 33 was nominated in some categories. One of those names was the biggest and most prestigious award of the night, best game. I was competing against Arc Raiders, Blue Prince, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Ghost of Yotei, i office But despite facing tough competition, Expedition 33 was triumphant and won the BAFTA for the best game of 2025. The RPG has been endlessly praised by fans and critics alike for its turn-based RPG gameplay, engaging story, and gorgeous art style.

Now the question is, which game will be next to achieve this incredible feat? Will it be another single player RPG? (Probably.)
