Welcome to our roundup of the latest happenings in the indie game scene. Once again, there are some beautiful new games for you to play this weekend. We also have plenty of updates and announcements for upcoming games to tell you about.
There’s been a bunch of solid indie showcases coming out recently (highlights from another showcase below). If you want to know a ton Play other games as soon as possible, and you may want to set your alarm as early as possible on April 25th.
Starting at 5 a.m. Eastern Time that day, the latest Indie Life Expo will be Youtube, twitch, Tik Tok, Bilibili and elsewhere. This game will include more than 200 games! A quick Indie Waves section will power 160 of these shows. The organizers received 1,100 submissions for this issue, so kudos to them for making up a significant proportion of them.
Until then, you can check out another presentation on April 21st. Top Hat Studios Presents: Spring 2026 Showcase begins at noon ET on the publisher’s website Youtube and twitch channel.
The stream will have Motorslice, good residents. and survival horror games coronationas well as Premiere and other top hat games. I’ve been looking forward to it car slices, There is a May release window. I bet we’ll get the exact release date during this livestream.
In the meantime, Steam has an interesting event coming up. Interface X26 Will run from April 27th to May 4th. The game focuses on games that deal with fictional operating systems and other custom interfaces. The organizers gathered more than 150 developers and publishers, and they asked Valve to introduce an official “Fake OS” label for games on Steam.
There will be some great games included in the May 2nd sale and showcase, including Bullibo+, TR-49 and The roots are dead. Also looking forward to demos and related new releases. Speaking of which…
we’ve been waiting for one a long time for Replaced. Cyberpunk adventure game from Sad Cat Studios and publisher Thunderful Finally landed this week in steam, GOG, Xbox on PC vs Xbox Series X/S. It’s on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Otherwise, the base game costs $20. The Backer Edition, which includes the soundtrack, is available for $25. it will hit epic games store Later.
The game was originally expected to launch in 2022. It certainly didn’t help that Sad Cat Studios was forced to relocate from Belarus to Cyprus after Russia invaded Ukraine. But the game finally came out, and upon launch it was met with universal acclaim.
Replaced is a 2.5D action platformer set in an alternate version of 1980s America, where you play as an artificial intelligence trapped in a human body that may or may not dream of electric sheep. I haven’t had a chance to properly dive into this gorgeous looking game yet, but I hope to do so this weekend.
Speaking of games that have been on my all-time wish list, Gecko God This week is here. I think the first time I saw this game was around 2022. The various trailers appealed to me with the idea of a puzzle-exploration platformer that puts you in the role of a gecko who can run along walls and ceilings.
I’ve been playing for about 90 minutes so far. I like the look of it and the gecko is very cute (being able to customize its appearance is a nice touch). I love that you “collect” different types of bugs by eating them. It’s a pretty relaxing game, which is exactly what I need at the moment.
But I think there are some problems here. I’ve explored two of the five main islands in the open world, and so far it feels a bit sparse. The joy of being able to climb up and around any object complicates things when it comes to the more precise platforming sections. While the sailing part is beautiful, the boat is cumbersome to control in rough water. I also encountered some minor technical issues on the PS5, with occasional frame rate drops and objects popping in. Hopefully the developers of Inresin can fix this issue.
Gecko God — from publishers Super Rare Originals and Gamersky Games — is now available on steam, PS5 and nintendo switch. Normally priced at $20, but there’s a 10% launch discount until April 30 (on PS5, this only applies to PlayStation Plus members)
Another highly anticipated game arrives this week Mouse: PI Rental. we have we watch This first-person shooter/detective game has had gorgeous rubber hose animations for quite some time. Reviews so far have been generally positive, and there seems to be enough content here to achieve those great visuals.
Mouse: PI Rental Created by Fumi Games and publisher PlaySide, it’s available now for $30. it can be in personal computer, nintendo switch 2, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
eager pursuer Developer Outerloop Games and co-publisher Outersloth launch cooking-themed game Dosa Divas This week. It tells the story of two sisters who embark on a journey with their mecha to overthrow a fast food empire and reconnect their community through cooking.
It caught my eye when I saw it at a showcase a while ago, it has a great concept, even though I’m not a huge fan of turn-based combat. I have read several temperature Comment The core of the game seems to be the cooking mechanics and combat that could use more time to simmer.
if you want to try Dosa Divas yourself you can pick it up steam, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, nintendo switch and switch 2. Normally priced at $20, but there’s a 10% launch discount until April 28th.
If you’re looking for a puzzle game that can be lighthearted or quite dark (depending on your mood), it might be worth checking out Legendary Life: Tabitha. When you’re packing up your deceased loved one’s home, you’ll need to decide which items to keep in your limited storage space and discard the rest. You’ll want to wrap fragile items in bubble wrap and vacuum pack soft items to save space in the box.
As you save items, you’ll unlock words that you can use to fill in the gaps in your loved ones’ lives and tell their stories in crazy freestyle. Considering you’ll find items like a ransom note and a shirt with lipstick on the collar, there seems to be a lot of variety in the stories you could tell.
Legendary Life: Tabitha Available for steam Now. Normally priced at $15, but you can save 10% if you buy before April 28th.
To round out this section, I’ll quickly point out Hades 2 Now available PS5 and Xbox Series X/S Priced at $30, 20% off at launch. This feature is also available on Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass.
I bought Hades 2 When Supergiant Games brought it to Steam Early Access two years ago, I told myself I would wait until the full game was released. But I haven’t gotten around to it yet. There are always too many games tugging at my fragile attention, Hades 2 It faded into the background for me. I really should play it, I know!
I’m paying attention Eggfield High School: School of Rock From Shelter Games. The spiritual successor to Rockstar bullying Will arrive this summer steam. There is news this week that it will crack down on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S later this year.
This is a coming-of-age adventure in which you play as Sam, a young man who moves to a new school in the early 2000s. He wanted to make his last few months of high school a time to remember.
There’s a branching narrative with multiple endings – you can choose to go to class and be a good student, or skip school and cause trouble. As a student who basically follows the rules, I was tempted to choose the latter. It looks a bit like a life simulation game, with all kinds of activities and ways to get into trouble. I’m looking forward to it.
latest version Galaxy display – Another separate spotlight event – taking place this week later generations caught my attention. this is a Mother– Inspired RPG Coming from Numor Games and publisher Top Hat, it features charming art direction (yes, I did see a character running in Naruto), an interesting cast of characters and…
Oh no, why did the music stop? Why did it suddenly become so dark? What are these terrifying beasts chasing my characters? Yes, there are heavy horror elements here. Numor was inspired by secret room as well as.
later generations It will be released later this year. Just released a demo steam.
blue research, The work from Relate Games is another highlight of Galaxies Showcase, thanks in large part to the impressive animations. This is a point-and-click adventure game where you play as two characters with complicated pasts: private detective Kenneth and the fugitive Blue.
You’ll explore a semi-open world and solve crimes by gathering clues and exposing characters’ lies. There are three intertwined storylines and multiple endings. one steam demo Side missions in the main game take approximately two hours to complete and are available now.
I’m always interested in any duplicate games The Legend of Zelda: The Triforce of the Gods. On the surface of this trailer, Elementalist Developer AnKae Games appears to have borrowed design language and other ideas from many SNES classics. If you want to borrow anything, though, it’s also probably the best game ever made.
This 2D action RPG, also published by Top Hat, focuses more on elemental powers than Naruto links to the pastlooks a lot like my kind of jam. Almost there steam, GOG, change, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One will be available on April 28th. According to the eShop listing, the price is $18.
