Introducing the 2026 cohort of Carbon Brief editors

The Carbon Brief editorial team is supported by an international team of scientists, each specializing in different areas of climate science, biodiversity, energy and policy.

As contributing editors, they help keep Carbon Brief abreast of the latest scientific and policy developments, and provide advice when required on issues of scientific accuracy.

Participating editors, who will serve in this position for two years, are not paid by Carbon Brief and do not endorse its content.

Dr. Gabriela Di Giulio

Dr. Gabriela Di Giulio is it associate professor on University of Sao Paulo. She holds a BA in Journalism, an MA in Science and Technology Policy and a PhD in Environment and Society from University of Campinas. Her research explores the interaction between environment, society, and science-policy dynamics, with a particular focus on how environmental crises affect sociocultural contexts. Her current work concerns climate change and adaptation, risk and uncertainty management and transfer, and pathways to sustainable development.
